You mean the world to us…
We have talked extensively over the years about how and when we would get married. We considered all options… courthouse, eloping, something small with our kids, something big in town… but when we thought about what mattered most to us, it came down to having a really good time with the people closest to us…that’s you.
We’ve been through a lot over the years. Both individually and as a couple…and we couldn’t be where we are today without the love and support of our closest friends and family. What better way to start our marriage than celebrating with you in Mexico?

Why Mexico?
It was really important to us to not just spend an evening with our closest friends and family, but spend several days with you. Having fun, catching up, reflecting on memories and enjoying each other’s company.
Mexico was the perfect place! Not too far from home, easy on the budget, beautiful, fun and serene. January is a perfect time of year to travel to Mexico…average temperatures are around 80 degrees–perfect time to escape from the cold. Plus PV is a city full of culture, vibrance and charm. We know you’ll have the time of your life!
Dreams/Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort
When looking for a venue for our wedding, we wanted something that reflected our personalities– elegant and classy, but also fun and spunky. We wanted it family friendly, but not overly “kid” themed. We wanted something chill and zen where our guests could unwind and relax…but you also know we wanted a place for a fun party. We told our travel agent that we were looking for a Unicorn resort… and we found just that.
You are going to fall in love with Bahia Mita just as we did! A luxury all-inclusive property, it includes both Dreams (family friendly) and Secrets (adults only) so if you’re looking for a kid-free vacation, we’ve got you! Want to bring the kids? You can do that too! It has amazing views, amazing food, incredible entertainment, a fabulous beach–what more could we ask for? YOU!
Nestled in the hills of Narayiat, Mexico about 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, it is an escape from the world. Your room reservations will include transportation to and from the airport to the resort.

FAQ’s
Q: When do I need to book my room by?
ASAP! Book your room(s) DIRECTLY through the Hyatt website here (there is not a room block)…hotel space is limited so book ASAP!
Q: Are kids allowed?
If you book at Dreams, children are welcome, there is also a childcare facilitiy on site.
Our wedding event will be a no-young kids event (babies under 1 and children ages 15 and over are okay) – we want you to enjoy the event and ask that children remain with childcare. Thanks for understanding our wishes!
Q: Do we have to stay at the resort?
No, however to attend our wedding event, you will be charged a day rate to enter the property; please call 1-866-237-3267 for more information and updated rates.
Q: What is Secrets age restriction?
In order to access (and stay at) Secrets, you must be 18 years of age.
Q: How many people can stay in one room?
Regular Rooms:
- 2 Queen beds
- 3 Adults (Ages 13+) + 1 Kid (Ages 2-12)
- 1 King bed
- 2 Adults (Ages 13+)
Family Suites:
4 Adults (Ages 13+) + 3 Kids (2-12)
Q: Can my kids stay in a room by themselves?
All rooms must be booked with at least one Adult age 18+
Q: Can I bring more people to Mexico with me?
Absolutely! However, due to the limited space of our wedding and reception, only the names listed on your RSVP are accounted for at our wedding and reception events. Thank you for understanding.
Q: If I book my room at Dreams, can I access the Secrets side?
A: YES! Adults over 18 who book a “Dreams Preferred” room, will have access to the Preferred Club rooftop area with infinity pools and Sky Bar at Secrets. However, to get the full benefits of Secrets you’ll need to buy an additional pass upon arrival.
FYI, they are VERY strict about this access.
If you choose not to book a Preferred Club room, you will still hve amazing access to pools, incredible restuarants, beverages, and many other amenities.
Q: What days are most people arriving and departing?
We will arrive at the resort on Thursday, January 15th and depart on Tuesday, January 20th. We anticipate most guests will arrive on Thursday and depart Monday or Tuesday. We highly recommend staying at least 4 nights!
Q: What is the dress code?
Our wedding dress code is “Beach Cocktail” . Please see our section on “wedding traditions” for some color inspiration! Also check out our Pinterest board for ideas.

Beach Cocktail Wedding Attire
Beach cocktail attire is semi-formal beach wedding attire. Typically, men’s ties are optional, but still welcome. If you’re shopping for menswear, start with a classic long-sleeve button-down and dressy pants; then, add a colorful blazer or patterned sport coat for festivity. Appropriate footwear includes nice loafers and on-theme boat shoes. Women can wear a semi-formal dress, like a maxi or midi, as well as a jumpsuit or dressy separates. A beach cocktail dress code gives you the flexibility to choose a vibrant color or bold print. Finish your outfit with a low heel, wedge or dressy flats. Beachy accessories, like a raffia clutch, are also acceptable.
Q: What happens if I book a room, but then I can't go?
Please refer to your room booking reservation for cancellation details and policy. You can also purchase travel insurance.
Q: How do we get to the resort?
We reccommend booking hotel transfers with your stay. Alternatively you can also take an Uber or Taxi to the property!
We can't attend, will there be other festivities?
If you know us, you KNOW there will be more festivities! We are planning a California reception and a Denver reception in early summer 2026–stay tuned!
Getting to PV
Recommended airport: PVR
The Puerto Vallarta airport is easily accessible by most major airlines. Your room booking does NOT include airfare. Our travel agent doesn’t book air travel as it varies so much by preference. Search for fares on Expedia and turn on price alerts! You could also consider using airline miles!
Gift Registry
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. Should you insist on honoring uus with a gift, a contriubtion to our honeymoon would be warmly received.

Reccomended Itinerary
Make it a Vacay!
We HIGHLY recommend staying at Bahia Mita for at least four or five nights! It’s such a beautiful place and you’re going to want to soak up as much as you can! We can’t wait to hang out with you for our wedding weekend!
You’ll want to arrive no LATER than Saturday January 17th and depart no earlier than Monday evening, Jan 19th.
We will arrive on January 15th and depart on January 20th.
Attire & Traditions
YOU are our bridal party…
Very few elements of our wedding will be traditional. Everything we do, will be with meaning. Stay tuned for some really neat elements we are incorporating into our wedding.
We are not planning to have a traditional ‘bridal party’ (though we will be honoring our kids in a similar fashion). We view you all as our bridal party. Typically the bridal party are the couples closest friends that symbolically “support” the couple with similar attire. (For a fun read, check out The Origins of A Bridal Party) We are asking our guests to choose wedding attire to match our color palette… symbolic of supporting our union as a bridal party would. PLEASE do not stress about this, we want this to be fun! Colors don’t have to be exact and if it prevents you from attending, please wear whatever colors you prefer. You need a passport to travel to Mexico! If you don’t have one yet, save yourself the stress and apply now! Got one already? CHECK IT! Make sure it’s valid and you don’t need to renew before you travel!
Flights
We traveled to PV in December of 2023 and purchased round trip tickets for $250/person (not including bags). You can set a flight fare alert on Expedia and it will tell you when fares drop! It’s also a great time to check your mileage benefits!
